Coastal Zone Management Plan
This is the coastal zone management plan. It is also known as the CZMP. The CZMP governs coastal management on the central coast. It also outlines the possible resolutions to erosion of Central Coast beaches. Without consultation when developing this document, it was decided a range of possible policies such as planned retreat were taken out. Frustratingly, this left few options for the council to use to respond to storm events such as those that occured at Wamberal.
A new CZMP is in preperation and our group is hopefully there is greater consultation relating to the possible solutions it includes this time!!
